About
Born in New York City, Matthew Wang is a songwriter, producer, and composer who is passionate about staying on top of music tech trends. While finishing his senior year at NYU Tisch's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Matt was hired as the lead composer on a yet to be announced Netflix Original Show that will debut later in 2018. Additionally, he has worked as an audio engineer for the Foo Fighters, Coheed And Cambria, and RCA Records and has written and produced with artists including PYRCE, Zeke Finn, and J. White Did It (Cardi B).
Musically, his childhood love of rock guitar players like Joe Perry, Bumblefoot, and Guthrie Govan combined with his study of violin from age 8 has contributed to his sound. Blending orchestral instruments with guitars, synths, and self-made sampled instruments, Matt is constantly working to keep his sonic toolkit sounding new and will be selling his custom made virtual instruments soon.
Now based in LA, Matt is writing and producing with and for other artists as well as composing music for media projects (TV, Films, and Commercials).
